I. Product Features

　　Trichloroisocyanuric acid boasts excellent bactericidal properties. Its pure form appears as a white, crystalline powder that is slightly soluble in water but readily dissolves in organic solvents. It is a new-generation, broad-spectrum, highly effective, and low-toxicity agent—used not only as a powerful disinfectant and bleach but also as a shrinkage-prevention additive. This product can rapidly and effectively eliminate a wide range of microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, bacterial spores, molds, and even Vibrio cholerae. It also exhibits remarkable efficacy in algae control, odor removal, water purification, and bleaching. Trichloroisocyanuric acid finds extensive applications in areas such as swimming pool water disinfection, drinking water treatment, industrial circulating water management, food hygiene, aquaculture, daily chemical industries, healthcare settings, childcare facilities, public health prevention programs, waste management, and large-scale sterilization efforts following natural disasters or human-made crises—including post-disaster infection control measures in hotels, restaurants, and other public spaces.

(1)Disinfection of Swimming Venues and Drinking Water:

It can effectively kill various bacteria in water, with no residue, no environmental pollution, and low irritation.

(2)Disinfection in the Catering Field:

It has a good effect in preventing cross-infection of viruses and bacteria through tableware.

(3)Disinfection in the Medical Field:

Portable environmental disinfection effervescent tablets can be used for the disinfection of medical instruments and equipment, as well as for disinfection during patients' surgeries. They can also be used for sterilization and disinfection in epidemic areas and infectious disease areas.

(4)Applications in Fishery, Animal Husbandry, Seed Planting, etc.:

Trichloroisocyanuric acid is a strong oxidant and chlorinating agent, and it has no toxic side effects on most aquatic organisms. Therefore, it can be used in the prevention and treatment of bacterial diseases of aquatic organisms, and can be used with confidence under normal dosage. Similarly, it can also be used in animal husbandry, poultry breeding, seed planting, etc.

(5)Application in the Food Industry:

It replaces chloramine-T for food disinfection, and its available chlorine content is three times that of chloramine-T. It can also be used as a decolorizing and deodorizing agent for dextrin.

(6)Application in the Printing and Dyeing Industry:

Trichloroisocyanuric acid contains active chlorine up to 90%, and is used as a bleaching agent in the printing and dyeing industry. It is suitable for the bleaching of cotton, hemp, wool, synthetic fibers and blended fibers.

(7)Application in the Wool Textile Industry:

It is used as a wool shrink-proofing agent in the wool textile industry, replacing potassium bromate.

It is used as a chlorinating agent in the production of the rubber industry.

(9)Used as an Industrial Oxidant:

The redox electrode potential of trichloroisocyanuric acid is equivalent to that of hypochlorite, so it can replace hypochlorite as a high-quality oxidant.

IV. Usage and Dosage

(1)Swimming Pool Disinfection:

Add 3～5 grams per cubic meter of water in the swimming pool every day.

(2)Treatment of Industrial Circulating Cooling Water:

Add 0.5 grams per cubic meter of water. The free chlorine concentration in the cooling water should generally be controlled between 0.25～0.5 ppm, and the appropriate pH value is 7～8.

(3)Drinking Water Disinfection:

Add 0.4 grams per 100 kilograms of water, stir well and let it stand for a period of time.

(4)Others:

1. Tableware Disinfection: Add 0.25 grams per 5 kilograms of water, and soak the cleaned tableware for 5 minutes.
2. Sewage and Feces Treatment: Add 5 grams per cubic meter of sewage or feces to eliminate odors.
3. Seed Sterilization and Disinfection: Using trichloroisocyanuric acid for seed disinfection can break the seed dormancy period, improve the seed germination rate, and inhibit the occurrence of diseases. Importantly, it has no environmental pollution problem and is harmless to humans and animals. The method is to soak the seeds in a 0.2% trichloroisocyanuric acid aqueous solution for 12 hours.

Disinfection of Hospital Sewage, Diapers, Bedpans and Instruments: Compared with commonly used benzalkonium chloride, carbolic acid, chlorhexidine, and chloramine-T, for the same disinfection object, the dosage of trichloroisocyanuric acid is only 1/10～1/100 of the above conventional disinfectants, and it has a faster sterilization speed and better effect.
