I. Product Features

Sodium dichloroisocyanurate dihydrate is a highly effective, low-toxicity, broad-spectrum, and fast-acting disinfectant and bactericide. It emits a milder odor, maintains its active chlorine content for a longer duration, exhibits greater chemical stability, and delivers more prolonged disinfection effects. This compound can rapidly and efficiently eliminate a wide range of bacteria, fungi, spores, molds, Vibrio cholerae, and other harmful microorganisms. Notably, it is particularly effective against hepatitis A and hepatitis B viruses, while also demonstrating remarkable efficacy against sexually transmitted diseases and HIV. Additionally, sodium dichloroisocyanurate dihydrate boasts impressive capabilities in algae control, odor removal, water purification, and bleaching.

III. Product Applications

1.Social & Household Use:
It can be used for drinking water disinfection, swimming pool water disinfection, preventive disinfection of tableware in households and hotels, as well as deodorization of fruits, vegetables, toilets, garbage, and sewers.

2.Medical & Epidemic Prevention Use:
It is suitable for surface disinfection of hospital wards and laboratory utensils; disinfection of patients’ hands, limbs, clothing, and daily necessities; and also applicable for bactericidal epidemic prevention in epidemic areas.
3.Breeding Industry Use:
It can be used for disinfection in sericulture, as well as disinfection and water purification in the breeding of livestock, poultry, and fish.
4.Industrial Use:
It can also be used for wool anti-shrinkage finishing, bleaching in the textile industry, algae removal in industrial circulating water, and as a rubber chlorinating agent.
5.Agricultural Use:
It can be used for seed soaking to prevent fungal infections; it can also be used for sterilization treatment of vegetables and fruits after fungal infections during their growth and fruiting periods.

IV. Usage and Dosage

1: Drinking water disinfection: Add 5 grams per cubic meter of water, stir well, let it sit for a while, and prepare fresh solution each time before use.

2: Swimming Pool Disinfection: Add approximately 10–15 grams per cubic meter daily to the pool, ensuring that the residual chlorine level remains consistently between 1.0 and 1.5.

3: Disinfection of hospital wards, hospital waste, and medical instruments: Add 10 grams per liter, and after complete dissolution, either soak or spray the surfaces.

4: Disinfection of public places and spaces: Add 5 grams per liter, and after complete dissolution, use for wiping or spraying. Allow it to act for 10–30 minutes—this effectively kills bacterial spores.

5: Dining Utensils: Add 0.5–1.0 grams per liter, ensuring complete dissolution before soaking; allow an action time of 15–30 minutes.

6: When using Dichloroisocyanurate as a biocide in circulating cooling water systems, add 15–20 ppm every 2–3 days during summer. In spring and autumn, apply once every 3–5 days, and in winter, add it every 5–7 days. To ensure effective biocidal performance, non-oxidizing fungicides can also be added periodically.

7: Disinfection of infectious disease areas and post-disaster contaminated zones: Add 2-5 grams per liter, ensure complete dissolution before spraying, and allow a contact time of at least 30 minutes.

8: For disinfecting feces and other excreta, add 40–60 grams per liter and allow it to act for 1–2 hours.

7. Storage

Dichloroisocyanuric acid should be stored in a well-ventilated, dry place, protected from moisture, water, rain exposure, and fire hazards. It must not be mixed with flammable, explosive, or self-reactive substances. Additionally, it should not be stored together with oxidizers, reducing agents, or materials prone to chlorination or oxidation reactions. Absolutely avoid mixing or storing this product with liquid ammonia, ammonium hydroxide, or any inorganic or organic compounds containing amines, ammonia, or ammonium ions, as such combinations could easily lead to explosions or fires. During transportation, ensure that the packaging remains intact. Shelf life: 2 years
